giveaway monday!

August 31, 2009

Happy Monday!  Just for my blog readers–and for those new to the blog, we have another awesome giveaway, this time from Dolce Vita Mia !

Here’s your chance–again, anyone can win, you don’t have to live in Arizona!  Mia, the mama behind the designs at Dolce Vita Mia, has graciously donated a custom baby girl three piece Gift Set that includes an adorable onesie, flower headband and pedi posh yo-yo socks.  Each has a matching, absolutely precious handmade flower on it.  Even if you don’t have a baby girl, this is a perfect gift for a baby shower, or just to have on hand when someone you know welcomes a new little princess…I know more than a few of my clients are expecting baby girls soon!  :)

Mia is a former schoolteacher (okay, maybe still a teacher, just on a bit of an extended maternity leave :) ) who now loves to design bows and other handmade sweetness for your little darling.  She loves custom orders, too, so feel free to ask her to make a completely custom design for you!  Oh, and ASU fans, check out Mia’s blog for a headband that will prove your sweetie is the biggest Sun Devil fan!  She just released some rockin’ zebra print headbands today, too!  LOVE them!

I also want to add that the pedi posh yo-yo socks don’t only look precious, but babies love them!  Check out how much my own little diva loved checking them out and playing with them.  She just couldn’t stop playing with them, they were fascinating to her.  Too cute!

So, how do you enter?
1. Just check out the Dolce Vita Mia website, come back here, and leave a comment telling us your name and what Dolce Vita Mia item you love the most!
2. For an extra entry, do one of these four things then come back here and tell us what you did (the comment area is hidden at the end of the post, beneath the heart divider…to leave a comment just click where it says how many comments there are)–be sure to include your name:

The winner will be chosen by random.org and will be announced on Wednesday, September 2nd, so be sure to check back then to see if you have won! The winner will have 24 hours to claim their fan-tabulous prize.

Thanks for being a loyal blog reader, and welcome if you are just finding the blog!  I love ya!  Thanks to Mia for providing this super prize, too.  :)

“A new baby is like the beginning of all things, hope, a dream of possibilities.

I drive past this sign all the time, and each time I think how fun it would be to photograph a baby bump under the “BUMP” sign.  This mama-to-be went with my vision and made it a reality–so fun!  We hit a few other great locations, too.  Isn’t she gorgeous?  She and her hubby are huge Red Sox fans and will be expecting their little player (or will it be a little cheerleader?) in October.  They want the gender to be a surprise…my guess is a boy!  My hubby and I chose not to find out the gender with our first child, and I will never forget his birth day as my hubby exclaimed, “We have a son!”  I’m so excited for these two that they will get to experience the same bliss.  What a super-fun session…more to come!  Thanks, guys!

“Thank you for coming, holding me dear,
Although you have known me no more than one year.
Know that I know what your words want to say,
Older than sunshine upon a new day.”

What an absolute cutie!  Today I had the pleasure to photograph this little guy and his parents for his first birthday portraits.  He was a serious little fellow, but we got some great smiles, too!  I just adore when little ones have their serious faces on…perhaps it is because my own son is like that and it reminds me of how serious a little man he was in his own first birthday photographs.  As an added bonus, their little eyes really pop when they are serious!  :)   This little dude is already walking and was so fast!  He was quite proud of himself, it was so adorable.  I just love seeing little ones experiencing their first taste of cake…fabulous!  Mom had the cutest jerseys made, too.  Mom and Dad have “9″ and “17″, their son’s birthdate, while little man’s has his name and “1″.  Love that idea!  Thanks for choosing me to document this special time in your lives, I can’t wait for you to see more!

I also want to add that if you are thinking about scheduling a session, let’s chat soon!  I am almost completely booked up for the rest of the year, with the exception of the Christmas Mini Sessions that I will be announcing soon.  I do leave some space available for maternity and newborn sessions, so if you are interested in having your baby bump and/or your newborn photographed, please contact me for more information on scheduling–or if you are interested in any other kind of session so we can fit you in!  :)

I am so lucky to have the most gorgeous and fun-loving clients.  :)   What a wonderful session!  These two parents-to-be were such fun and were game for all my ideas.  Want to climb down these stairs to get to that cool structure?  No problem.  Want to lie down here?  No problem.  Want to walk around in simply a bella band? No problem.  Want to climb in the water and get all wet?  Still, no problem!  Yay!  What a wonderful way to cool off at the end of the session, and it made for some fabulous images.  I know these two will make fabulous parents, and I can’t wait to see them in action when their little one arrives.  I look forward to photographing your little sweetie pie when she makes her debut into this wonderful world.  Thanks again, S + J.  Tell your mom hello–how fab to meet her, too!

D + T were so cute and funny, it made our session full of laughs!  They are obviously crazy about one another, and are excited to be tying the knot soon!  It was wonderful to meet you both and to chat with you–I am keeping my fingers crossed about your trip to Europe!  I wish you both a lifetime of happiness!  :)

This little cutie pie is all girl–she just loved changing outfits and dressing up in a tutu! What a fun session we had…she got to check out the ducks by the pond, skip and sing with her mama and explore! She loves to skip and jump, and I had fun watching and capturing it all. Thanks for an energetic session, ladies–loved it! :)

~Crescent Dragonwagon

This gorgeous mama already has three beautiful daughters, but she soon will have a new experience when she welcomes her baby boy into the world. She braved the Arizona evening for our session, and happily ended up in the refreshingly cool pool. What a beautiful baby bump she has, and what a special way to remember this, her last pregnancy. It was a fun session at a fun new location–don’t you just love the mountains in the background and all of the yellow flowers? I wish you a smooth and amazing delivery–I hope your little man makes his debut at a time so that I can be there to capture his birth! Keep me posted, and thanks for a fun time!!

Imagine my surprise when I learned that this sweetie mama-to-be just recently had her own episode on WE TV’s Bridezillas! Just married in November and having a honeymoon baby, bridezilla is a term that I would never think to use in reference to her…she is just as sweet as can be, and so laid back! She and her hubby welcomed me into their home and were game for anything…we photographed in a gorgeous pecan orchard, on a fishing dock, with a watermelon and even in her bathtub! This wonderful couple is naturally beyond excited to welcome their little girl. I even got to look at the scrapbook Angela made, filled with touching moments detailing her journey to motherhood. It was quite the fun morning filled with plenty of laughter. I am looking forward to photographing their sweet little peapod Elora when she makes her debut very soon. Thanks for a great session! :)
