This is seriously how I would love to camp.  Lots of sweet treats, a s’mores bar with Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, dark hot cocoa and luscious cupcakes served on a crystal-laden stand, all exquisitely styled by Kim of The TomKat Studio.   Then of course there was Flower, the silky mini horse model that we decked out in her own flower hair accessories and all of our adorable + sweet models.  They were simply perfect and just so quiet!  I couldn’t believe it!  Three, four and five years old and they were…quiet!  Definitely not what I am used to or expected.   It was so much fun to photograph the darling Oh Fiddlesticks tees and to meet sweet Melissa and Jen, who flew in from Austin for the day just for the shoot.  Love them!

I just adore each and every one of their creative tees, and when– over dinner at Liberty Market after the shoot–I heard the story behind them, I just simply loved them that much more.  Melissa used to be a teacher and the idea came to her as she was teaching a lesson on compound words…much more eloquent to hear her tell it (you HAVE to put the full story on the website + blog, Melissa!), believe me.    cup + cake, cow + girl, cow + boy, rock + star, lime + light, book + worm…they all come to life through Jen’s modern and endearing artwork.  I would have to say that these two gals are perfect team + mates!

So, pack your bags (and maybe your hair dryer and nail polish, too) + head on out to our magical backyard, sit ’round the crackling campfire, enjoy a caramel apple, a cup of steaming hot chocolate and visit with the cutest kiddos around.   This is not your mama’s kind of camping…welcome to {glam camping}, where flannels and roughing it give way to rockin’ tees, red velvet chairs and gorgeous golden sunflowers.   If you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of our dear friend Flower…
