“All photographs are there to remind us of what we forget. In this – as in other ways – they are the opposite of paintings. Paintings record what the painter remembers. Because each one of us forgets different things, a photo more than a painting may change its meaning according to who is looking at it.”
~John Berger
Fabulous. This makes such a statement + is just filled with amazing memories! No need to do it quite on this scale, but why not try a huge collage of little images? What a fun conversation starter and a wonderful walk down memory lane…
This display caught my attention right away. I’m not sure if it was because of the colors, the fabulous clogs (that immediately reminded me that I have a pair of my own from when I visited Holland as a child) all shiny and repurposed or the ripped-out magazine pages of inspiration…maybe everything. The point is to get creative. Think outside of the box and find what joys lie within that. Paint your clogs and make them wall-mounted pencil holders amid fun, colorful photographs? Go for it! You know what I would love to see? A wall with these clogs hung up surrounded by images of children having fun and wearing these very clogs. SO.FUN.
Is there anything to really say other than FABULOUS?!
Choose a single color or hue (blues, greens, yellows, etc.) and arrange your photographs on a wall in the different but cohesive frames.
Canvas naturally has a classic, timeless look. These adorable doodle frames give a grouping of canvases a modern and whimsical look. Instead of immediately thinking of purchasing a single large canvas, why not consider investing in a grouping of square canvases? These frames pull them all together and lend a sense of fun to the arrangement. Just one of the many options when you have a session with me…
