ten on tuesday :: random thoughts (phoenix photographer)

1. Busy,  busy week this week!  Lots of fun stuff going on!

2. I started a memory jar last week.  I created mine with a cutely-decorated mason jar and it sits in our kitchen.  The idea is to jot down cute/funny/adorable/sweet things that your children say and to drop them in the jar.  Use the back of a receipt, tear off a bit of construction paper–use anything that is around and ready.  Having a challenging day? Just reach in, read one of your bits of loveliness, and warm your soul.

3. I recently came upon these ahhh-dorable little dolls.  LOVE.  I neeed one for Addie!  Guess what? Goodbye Blue Monday is now part of our giveaway, too!

5. My mom and sister are coming into town this weekend and I.can’t.wait.  It will be so great to see them!!

6. Also this weekend–Creative Estates, where I will be speaking along with some fabulous ladies.  Can’t wait to meet lots of new people, too!

7. So, one of my all-time fave shows is The Amazing Race.  I mean, I LOVE this show.  It is so corny, but I get so emotional at the theme music!  I just love traveling and feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to do so much of it in my life.  I love seeing other people explore what this world has to offer–the diversity, the beauty, the strange cadence of a new language.  So, I diverge…  I got tickets this weekend to go on a double-decker bus scavenger-hunt of sorts.  Sort of like a mini Amazing Race.  Except without the air travel.  Or the exotic destinations.  Or the foreign languages.  Hehe!  It will be fun nonetheless!

8. I will be photographing a Disney On Ice charity event this week.  Kim of The TomKat Studio is styling a dessert table for the event, the kiddos are getting all dolled up to see the Disney on Ice show, and they will be celebrating afterward in a “castle”.  Can’t wait to see the smiles on their faces.

10. Have you seen my friend Grace (of the fabulous Finley and Oliver) + her beautiful fam’ on the cover of the latest 202 Magazine? LOVE it!!!
