“Come boy, climb up my trunk and swing from my branches and be happy.”
~Shel Silverstein, The Giving Tree
I always am so honored to photograph the special moments in a family’s life. It was such a joy to photograph this little man to mark his turning one. I last saw him when he was just a few days new when I photographed his newborn session. His fabulous nursery (and the cutie little peanut) were featured on Project Nursery back then–doesn’t mom have fabulous style?! They called him their Little Tiger, so it was only appropriate that was photographed with his treasured ride-on tiger toy. Can’t you just see the sheer joy in his face?! He was headed down an incline, the wind in his face and nothing but the open road ahead and his main man tiger to take him there. First birthday sessions are magical. It is the last little link between babyhood and toddlerhood, and often glimpses of both are seen. Still crawling but beginning to explore like an older child–beautiful moments to capture.
His first little outfit was brought home by Mom and Dad on their recent trip to Paris. Doesn’t he just look like a little French bebe?! LOVE!
This little outfit was his first birthday party outfit-ahhhdorable!! Can I just scoop up this little sailor and take him home with me?!
Thank you so much, R family!! I just love you all!!
xoxo,
laura
