1.  We went to an Olivia birthday party this weekend and it was soooo caaa-ute!!! Check out this adorable + modern fabric that the Olivia pinata is in front of. Oh, and I just don’t know how the kiddos brought themselves to attack this sweet little Olivia! I suppose the promise of candy flying through the air when it breaks is always a motivator.

 

2.  I am in LOVE with this idea! How hard do you think it would be to make?Anyone want to try and blog the tutorial? Hehe! What song lyrics would you choose for your board?

 

3.  Did you ever read the Ramona books when they looked like this? Ahh, such a fond piece of my childhood…I told you, this {ten on tuesday} business is the most random of things!  Pssst…check out my “Back in the Day” board on Pinterest. If you grew up in the 80′s, you’ll get a giggle out of it.

4.  I am addicted to pretty, colorful and/or ruffly pillows. It is a huge weakness of mine. There is something that takes over my body when I lay eyes on one.  I must go to it immediately, touch it, oooh over it…and drop it instantly and purposefully into my shopping cart.

5.  I really feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends.  Each of the women that have come into my life have so added loveliness to it for so many unique and amazing reasons. Just thought I would share a big virtual hug to you all + thank you to my girlies. That is all.

6. I have been looking for a bday gift for my mother’s special day in July.  Any ideas (don’t worry, my sweet mother never reads my blog–that I know of, at least)?

7.  I am loving this printable via ck/ck on flickr.  Anyone else think it would be a perfect addition to your playroom or somewhere else where your kiddos play often?

 

8.  My husband and I went to go see the Gipsy Kings in concert over the weekend and I was in heaven. Do you have a band or musician whose music just fills you with emotion? Whenever I listen to them, it just brings all the amazing memories I have of living in Spain back to me.  I also would listen to the Gipsy Kings almost ever ride to and from work the whole time I was pregnant with my son Jackson.  I liked to think he gleaned some sort of love of the Spanish language just by listening inside.  Before the show, we actually walked right past them as they were casually lounging and chatting outside.  The cadence of their thick Andalusian Spanish accents was sweet music to my ears.

9.   Jack and I were having a conversation the other day about where my mom shopped when I was little and what she fed us.  When he asked what kind of cereal we had, I listed Corn Flakes as one of them, to which his response was, “Mama! Why don’t you give US Popcorn Flakes?!”  It took me a bit to realize where he got that from.  My kids love popcorn (or pock-moo-moo as Addie calls it), so I guess that would be a normal question for him!

10. A part of the same convo, Jack came up with something genius! My mom used to make me peanut butter and raisin sandwiches, so Jack asked if she also made peanut butter + yogurt raisin sandwiches.  No, buuuut…how AWESOME would a peanut butter and CHOCOLATE covered raisin sandwich be?! Let me know if you try it!
