This session was magical. Such a beautiful, sweet + fun couple, a fabulous location and lots of giggles made this session amazing. LOVED it. In addition to his day job, Dad is an actor, so he was an absolute pro in front of the camera. Gorgeous mom just shines, too, don’t you agree?! WHAT a stunning couple!!
They brought along Wilson (remember Castaway?
) ,who has special significance to them, so we were sure to capture some with the cute little monkey. As we were shooting, I noticed a sweet little ladybug on top of Wilson’s head. Luck. It made me smile and just seemed so perfect! Little Wilson (who their sweet little man would later curl up next to at our newborn session), with a ladybug on him. Sort of seemed to hint at the amazing love and specialness that was to come as they awaited their sweet little boy. Magical, whimsical and amazing. That’s what it feels like to carry a baby inside, to anticipate their arrival, to feel the butterflies in your stomach because you are already in love with this child before they ever make their appearance on the outside. Parenthood is the most spectacular of gifts, and preparing for a baby should feel all sorts of surreal and wonderful. I hope this beautiful couple have a remembrance of this time in their lives that they will cherish forever…it is something you will never get back. There is nothing quite like the first–document the journey.
