“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste the experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experiences.”
~Eleanor Roosevelt
This sweet little girl is just so precious and it was such a pleasure to photograph her. I photographed her sweet mother and father as they were anticipating her arrival {also seen here in the March issue of 202 Magazine}, and it was such a joy to finally meet this little peanut. You see, newborn sessions and life don’t always go the typical route and with that comes a special silver lining you never thought possible.
The day our newborn session was scheduled this little one was mere days old. Mama called and told me that they unexpectedly had to take her to the hospital to see why she wasn’t gaining weight. This mom is always so upbeat and, though you could tell she was worried, she was still confident and strong. They were to discover that their little princess has Prader-Willi Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder affecting on average one in every 15,000 births (I share all this with Mom’s blessing as I know how involved she has become in educating others about this syndrome and working toward a cure for her little girl and the thousands of others with Prader-Willi Syndrome).
Miss M is a complete doll and so beautiful, and I just giggle thinking of how precious she was in her frilly pink pettiskirt and the sweet faces she made. LOVE her! Thank you for two wonderful sessions, L family. SO happy to have met you and photographed you during this special time in your lives. What a beautiful little sweets you have! It was worth the three month wait to meet her!![]()
