How fun! Our recent commercial shoot with The TomKat Studio for Bambaroos Boutique was recently featured on the HGTV website.  The shoot, shot on-location at the drybar Scottsdale, was full of Cotton Candy and girly sweetness.  It featured the gorgeous designs of Bambaroos Boutique and the adorable Cotton Candy Printable Collection from The TomKat Studio as well as the gorgeous work of many other talented ladies, including Grace of Finley and Oliver, Decadent Delights and Shear Love.  Check out more of our shoot here and here. Kim of The TomKat Studio and I recently had the opportunity to work with the wonderful Mirela of Bambaroos Boutique.  Her tutus and hair pieces are simply exquisite and of amazing quality.  The skirts are so full and lush and are finished off with a long satin ribbon in the back. From the moment I took them out of the box, I was in LOVE! Kim and I decided on a Cotton Candy theme and it magically came to life! Kim is always absolutely amazing at what she does, and she created a fun Cotton Candy printable collection to set the tone for the festivities that is absolutely stunning! Kim and I always have a blast when we team up for shoots–can you tell?

The fabulous Shawna (of CRAVE Phoenix) introduced me to Amy of the drybar Scottsdale, where this fabulous party was staged.  I was able to first meet Amy when I photographed her and the drybar for The CRAVE Phoenix book–to be released next week! She is SUCH a sweetheart and the drybar is simply fab!

Our little models were absolute dolls and were so much fun to work with–a big thank you to these sweet ladies and their mamas, too! They were able to have their hair styled by our dear Traci of Shear Love and my fab friend Autumn helped to coordinate the styling.  Each little princess was styled in a Bambaroos tutu, a Finley and Oliver tank created especially for this shoot, and a Bambaroos hair accessory.  Fabulous!

I just loved all of the amazing pieces to this shoot, and want to thank all of the lovely vendors like Nori Shoes (aren’t those little yellow boots SO FAB?!) and The Organic Bloom (the Cotton Candy invite was framed perfectly!)–please check out their links at the end of this post.

Kim of The TomKat Studio and I recently styled and photographed a line of fabulous tutus and accessories for Bambaroos Boutique.  We photographed on-location at drybar, the perfect location for our fun shoot! All of our little models were so adorable and LOVED getting dressed up in their full + beautiful tutus.  The tutus were paired with gorgeous hair accessories from Bambaroos and fun coordinating tees from Finley and Oliver.  I cannot wait to share lots more of our fun!

Do you have a little sweetie pie girl between the ages of 3 and 8?  She could be one of the next faces of Bambaroos Children’s Boutique!  We are conducting a model casting call for girls ages 3-8 to be a part of our shoot that will be styled by Kim Stoegbauer of The TomKat Studio and photographed by Laura Winslow Photography.

TO ENTER:

~Email ONE non-professional snapshot of your daughter (ages 3-8) to casting@laurawinslowphotography.com by Tuesday, May 17th, 2011 at midnight.

~In the subject line, include your daughter’s name, her dress size and Bambaroos (Example: Maria 4T Bambaroos). Please only send one photo and try to resize it to 800 x 600.

~Models MUST be available on Sunday, June 5th in the East Valley/Phoenix area.  The shoot will last several hours and models must be able to take direction well.  One parent/guardian must be on hand.

~Models will receive a fun day of modeling and laughter, be photographed by Laura and will receive one complimentary digital file (more available for purchase at a discounted VIP rate).

~We regret we cannot choose everyone.  A panel will decide based on the needs of the designer.  Should your child not be chosen this time, feel free to let me know to keep her info on hand for future projects.  Thanks so much for understanding!

It was a total blast and I just had the best time photographing them!  My own sweets Jack was able to model for the adorable hole in one Golf theme and for the fab Cowboy theme.  I know everyone is so excited about all of these wonderful boy parties that Kim has created–such wonderful ideas!!

The lovely Kim of The TomKat Studio and I had the opportunity recently to work on a wonderful shoot for a spread in 202 Magazine.   We are so excited to share images from our fun shoot with you!!  It was shot on-location at the fabulous local home decor and clothing shop Designer Blvd and we were so lucky to get to borrow so many of their beautiful goodies!  Owner Carol is just so gracious and came in that morning and allowed us to move her store around so that Kim could create the perfect set!  It was a blast!!

The lips of each of our models were kissed with the amazing Lip Bliss from What’s Your Virtue.  I have some myself and it is SO GREAT!!  What is that one thing about lip gloss that you can’t stand?  If you are like me, the only thing to not love is when it is so sticky that your hair can get stuck on your lips!  When you wear What’s Your Virtue, there is absolutely NONE of that!!  Really!  Just beautiful hues, shine and shimmer that have your pout looking perfectly poised!

What an absolutely FUN FILLED shoot!!  I am so happy to have had the opportunity to photograph the new Vintage Circus collection from designer Finley and Oliver.  Grace has outdone herself with this line, and it was just a blast!  We shot at the fabulous Zoppe Circus when it came to down, and what a treat it was!  The kids were thrilled to see a mini performance and to meet and mingle with the sweet Nino the Clown.  Perfection!

The Vintage Circus collection is perfect for your little one’s themed party, for Valentine’s Day or for everyday rolling around in the grass and building with playdoh!  My two children just feel so comfy in their F + O pieces and I can’t even begin to tell you how often I have washed them, only for them to come out looking like it was the first time!  Seriously amazing quality and cuteness to boot!  We will be photographing more items from the line very soon, so I can’t wait to share those with you, too!

This is seriously how I would love to camp.  Lots of sweet treats, a s’mores bar with Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, dark hot cocoa and luscious cupcakes served on a crystal-laden stand, all exquisitely styled by Kim of The TomKat Studio.   Then of course there was Flower, the silky mini horse model that we decked out in her own flower hair accessories and all of our adorable + sweet models.  They were simply perfect and just so quiet!  I couldn’t believe it!  Three, four and five years old and they were…quiet!  Definitely not what I am used to or expected.   It was so much fun to photograph the darling Oh Fiddlesticks tees and to meet sweet Melissa and Jen, who flew in from Austin for the day just for the shoot.  Love them!

I just adore each and every one of their creative tees, and when– over dinner at Liberty Market after the shoot–I heard the story behind them, I just simply loved them that much more.  Melissa used to be a teacher and the idea came to her as she was teaching a lesson on compound words…much more eloquent to hear her tell it (you HAVE to put the full story on the website + blog, Melissa!), believe me.     cup + cake, cow + girl, cow + boy, rock + star, lime + light, book + worm…they all come to life through Jen’s modern and endearing artwork.  I would have to say that these two gals are perfect team + mates!

So, pack your bags (and maybe your hair dryer and nail polish, too) + head on out to our magical backyard, sit ’round the crackling campfire, enjoy a caramel apple, a cup of steaming hot chocolate and visit with the cutest kiddos around.   This is not your mama’s kind of camping…welcome to {glam camping}, where flannels and roughing it give way to rockin’ tees, red velvet chairs and gorgeous golden sunflowers.   If you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of our dear friend Flower…
