Thank you to all of my dear clients for such an amazing year. I relished meeting so many new people and getting to see so many familiar faces as well–such a blessing to be able to do this! This sweet little girl and her parents were so much fun! They were game for anything, and we had a blast with fun spots and an awesome VW van. Don’t you LOVE? They Californians rocked the shades and this bus was the perfect spot for them! Little miss sported the most precious hair accessories for her session–when I asked where they were from, I learned that her mama has a shop–Sweet Sophie Sue! Love! Thank you so much for exploring with me, H fam! You rock!!

This little sweets and her family were so.much.fun to photograph.  One is such a beautiful age–full of curiosity, a little unsteady on new legs and usually all over the place! Add in a location that just begs to be explored and you have an opportunity to capture a fleeting stage of your baby’s life.  Her soft little whisps of hair blew in the night breeze, her giggles carried on the wind.  Mom and Dad ordered some gorgeous and very large canvases of this session, and I am so excited for them to enjoy them for a lifetime.  I simply treasure the canvases that I have of my own children–they are timeless pieces that take me instantly and emotionally back to that stage in their lives. Thank you for a wonderful session, D family!

How fun! Our recent commercial shoot with The TomKat Studio for Bambaroos Boutique was recently featured on the HGTV website.  The shoot, shot on-location at the drybar Scottsdale, was full of Cotton Candy and girly sweetness.  It featured the gorgeous designs of Bambaroos Boutique and the adorable Cotton Candy Printable Collection from The TomKat Studio as well as the gorgeous work of many other talented ladies, including Grace of Finley and Oliver, Decadent Delights and Shear Love.  Check out more of our shoot here and here. Kim of The TomKat Studio and I recently had the opportunity to work with the wonderful Mirela of Bambaroos Boutique.  Her tutus and hair pieces are simply exquisite and of amazing quality.  The skirts are so full and lush and are finished off with a long satin ribbon in the back. From the moment I took them out of the box, I was in LOVE! Kim and I decided on a Cotton Candy theme and it magically came to life! Kim is always absolutely amazing at what she does, and she created a fun Cotton Candy printable collection to set the tone for the festivities that is absolutely stunning! Kim and I always have a blast when we team up for shoots–can you tell?

The fabulous Shawna (of CRAVE Phoenix) introduced me to Amy of the drybar Scottsdale, where this fabulous party was staged.  I was able to first meet Amy when I photographed her and the drybar for The CRAVE Phoenix book–to be released next week! She is SUCH a sweetheart and the drybar is simply fab!

Our little models were absolute dolls and were so much fun to work with–a big thank you to these sweet ladies and their mamas, too! They were able to have their hair styled by our dear Traci of Shear Love and my fab friend Autumn helped to coordinate the styling.  Each little princess was styled in a Bambaroos tutu, a Finley and Oliver tank created especially for this shoot, and a Bambaroos hair accessory.  Fabulous!

I just loved all of the amazing pieces to this shoot, and want to thank all of the lovely vendors like Nori Shoes (aren’t those little yellow boots SO FAB?!) and The Organic Bloom (the Cotton Candy invite was framed perfectly!)–please check out their links at the end of this post.

Kim of The TomKat Studio and I recently styled and photographed a line of fabulous tutus and accessories for Bambaroos Boutique.  We photographed on-location at drybar, the perfect location for our fun shoot! All of our little models were so adorable and LOVED getting dressed up in their full + beautiful tutus.  The tutus were paired with gorgeous hair accessories from Bambaroos and fun coordinating tees from Finley and Oliver.  I cannot wait to share lots more of our fun!

I always am so honored to photograph the special moments in a family’s life.  It was such a joy to photograph this little man to mark his turning one.  I last saw him when he was just a few days new when I photographed his newborn session.  His fabulous nursery (and the cutie little peanut) were featured on Project Nursery back then–doesn’t mom have fabulous style?!  They called him their Little Tiger, so it was only appropriate that was photographed with his treasured ride-on tiger toy.  Can’t you just see the sheer joy in his face?! He was headed down an incline, the wind in his face and nothing but the open road ahead and his main man tiger to take him there.  First birthday sessions are magical.  It is the last little link between babyhood and toddlerhood, and often glimpses of both are seen.  Still crawling but beginning to explore like an older child–beautiful moments to capture.   His first little outfit was brought home by Mom and Dad on their recent trip to Paris.  Doesn’t he just look like a little French bebe?! LOVE!

These three adorable siblings are just so sweet together!  Having first photographed big sis O nearly three years ago for the first time, then again when she was a model in our Alice in Wonderland shoot last year, I feel a special connection to her.  I adore seeing the love in her eyes toward her twin brothers.  She is such a wonderful big sister, so caring and gentle.   This session was so much fun–and so true to life.  Sessions shouldn’t always be formal and serious–is that how life always is?  This session mirrors the fun and fast-paced place in life that this family is in right now.  Two toddling twins can create a lot of smiles and exercise for parents!  I just loved documenting their giggles and exploration and love and sweetness toward one another.  This family rocks.  Thank you so much for a wonderful session and for allowing me to capture your real life + your real love.  SO fun!
