I had a wonderful response to last week’s {wall art wednesday}.  I find it is a challenge for most people in this busy world to give thought to taking their photos out of albums and onto their walls.  Give your photographs and memories the place they deserve in your home.  Make a statement and go big.  You really will adore it and be so happy you did.  Here are a few more ideas to get you started…

I just love this one…I have a very similar photo of my two kiddos and they are around the same ages, too.  Think I should blow it up and put it in our bedroom?    One photograph blown up big can make such an impact, don’t you think?

How fun!  I bet you would never think to put your frames this close together and in this pattern…look how they are all different sizes, too.  Might be pretty easy to do, don’t you think?

This one is similar to the previous wall display…I just love how it wraps around the corner!  So unique!

Just by grouping six or more (I love at least nine even more) frames of the same size together, you are making a huge statement.  This is pretty much what I have on the wall in the office except the frames are all square.  I.love.it.

*Sigh*  My head is always swimming with new and interesting ideas of how I can display the thousands of photographs that I have of my children and family.  Yep, I have taken thousands (millions?!), but there are always those cherished ones that really hit you and you think, “I need to hang this!”.   Alternatively, you hire a custom photographer and invest in gorgeous canvas or print wall art…then, what do you do with them?  Here is a little inspiration to get you dreaming and planning…love these!!  Think beyond an album, beyond the photos on the computer, beyond the desk prints and go big!  It really does make a huge impact.  I have a wall of nine 20×20 frames matted to 12×12 on a large wall in my office (I will have to photograph it and share one of these days…).  I cannot tell you how happy it makes me to see the smiles of my children displayed so prominently.

Like this one…you would probably never, ever think to go quite this big, but how could you ever be in a bad mood when you were in this room, looking at these smiling faces?!   Just looking at this makes me grin!

This display is just so personal in that it combines photos of your children with framed pieces of their art.  The colors pretty much rock, too.

If you book a Holiday Mini Session, both packages come with 24 holiday cards–here is just one of your choices.  Way cute, right?  Heather from Peapod Announcements designed the template –I love her!  Before I started doing my own cards, I used her to create Jack’s birth announcement, his Christening announcement and his First Birthday invitation…yep, I love her a lot!  So, it was only natural that I use her fab-u templates for this year’s holiday card choices.  Oh, and FYI–she has the cutest Halloween cards!

Each card is press printed on your choice of pearl or linen paper and include a front and a back.   The pearl has a gorgeous sheen to it, and a more modern look, while the linen is beautifully textured and gives a classic feel to your cards.  Up to three revisions are included–I can change photographs, make them black and white, change the wording, etc.  People will be talking about your holiday cards for years to come!

This session was so.much.messy.fun!!! I cannot believe that I photographed this little cutie when he was mere weeks old, and now look at him! We let him explore the area while I snapped some photographs of that serious little face. He was a fast one and crawled from one fun thing to the next–he gave me quite the run for my money! I just love this age, and I loved capturing the way he looks as he was crawling away…very quickly I might add! This sweet little boy got his sweet reward at the end of our session when he was given free reign to chow down on his very own oversized cupcake. You can’t beat the look of intense concentration on his face, which was soon replaced with a grin as big as that cupcake! I call him my little smurf baby because of the blue tint his skin took on while smearing all that gooey sweet frosting on his body!
